I bought this unit because I needed something that goes beyond my normal laptop especially with regard to travel. The screen is bright and crisp and the unit is relatively portable and aesthetically appealing. Performance when running simple document editing and viewing of web pages was more than enough, and the system felt more responsive than Atom-based systems I tried. The only downside is the keyboard, which I still found a little 'cramped and the keys have a feeling mushy.

I had a Mac Book for more than three years. I have not had big problems with the computer itself, with the exception of a couple of things. LCD brightness is a tad dim to me, but when using it all day, barely notice it much. Another thing is battery life. I do not have much experience with other laptops, but the battery Mac Book seems to die very quickly, which sucks when you're traveling. But overall, I think Apple MacBook Pro has proven to be very versatile machine, it includes everything you would really need a notebook. I prefer to choose a PC, however, as Apple has increased the prices too much for something that can be manufactured in much the same value.

Specifications: The ASUS UL80Ag-A1 is yet another model from the very successful Asus UL laptop series. This 14-inch model comes with a 320GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics processor and an Intel Core 2 SU7300 1.3Ghz processor. The 14-inch HD screen has a 1366 x 768 resolution and is coupled with a set of great SRS surround speakers (Altec Lansing). It also comes with 802.11b/g/n wi-fi connectivity, a HDMI output, 3 USB ports, memory card reader, a multi-touch touch pad, a chiclet style keyboard and Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit).

Mac be supported and loved since 1987, is a unilateral revision. The screen is bright and crisp, the construction of the case, it is fantastic. The backlit keyboard looks good, and the multi-touch trackpad is a pleasure to use. It is also much faster than my iMac 2 years. I love this new laptop.

Please do not note notebook "laptop. No optical drive, not Core 2 Duo ULV, but the new 2solo basic rocks! He does what he says and then some. I have improved my adding additional 2 GB of RAM for $ 26. Upgrading the RAM took about 50 seconds, a piece of cake!
