I have this little machine, as it was (it was 3 weeks) and was absolutely a surprise. They also noted that many of the criticisms that he met a lot better than the average netbook Atom. I had the Asus 1005HA Netbook and though it may be cheaper, with more than a batter, has a smaller screen, lower resolution, without upgrading to Windows 7, not so fast. I also think that Vista works well with this Acer, and this can not be said for some desktop computers. Battery life is great (about 6 hours for a simple Web browsing and word processing) and the system is light, the battery did not persevere keyboard feels great and very thin for portability of a substantial nature.
My only complaint would be that the cover glossy (glossy screen is not as bad as some say, PPL) and the trackpad small. The trackpad is difficult to differentiate, and with a wave of plastic that a lot of friction and resistance in the days when your fingers does not create (such as hot days) will be smooth. If you do not enable two finger scrolling with updated drivers, scrolling is difficult, as difficult to say where are the edges. Unlike the latter complained that this little machine is everything you want to boot in an ultra-portable at an incredible price. Not expect this to replace the desktop or run games and applications. but if you keep your expectations down, there will be very, very happy.
