Just mention, when I saw the latest revision of the failed fan, I got my 1410 today, and indeed LOUD buzzing noise of the fan. Replacement is underway. I have been involved in problems defective trackpad on the new Mini Toshiba (Toshiba acknowledged its manufacturing process problems, then the back), and hope we do not have a problem here, too MFG. Everything else in 1410 so incredible, beautiful screen and keyboard. Barley is a bit 'plasticky than the Toshiba, and the touchpad is much smaller, but the rest hit the other netbooks out of the water and is about the same size and weight. Amazing! I'll post more when the replacement arrives.
UPDATE: Ok, the replacement came and is very quiet. Wow. Everything is beautiful, especially the screen, which is like a TV BigScreen in relation to 1024×600 netbook. One small complaint is the incredible amount of unwanted software begins to install, scan your hard drive, Hawking updates, etc.
