This laptop proved to be a very good buy. This is the 2nd laptop I bought in recent months. One of my son and one for my daughter. Both love the fact that has a small form factor, light weight, but not as small as a netbook.

But as other reviewers have pointed out, the handset feels slugish directly out of the box, so Aero is disabled and uninstalled all the crapware.

I am very happy with my purchase of the Acer 1410. This is all with 2 GB of RAM is good for most standard applications, but add the Crucial 2GB 667 MHz CT25664AC667 DDR2 200-Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory for good measure.

Specifications: Although laptops and netbooks give you a lot of portability, there is nothing that matches the computing power of the good old desktop. The HP Pavilion P6210F for instance is currently one of the most powerful desktop models in the market.

This model has a 2.6Ghz Quad processor, a 640GB hard drive and 6GB of RAM. It uses the NVIDIA GeForce 9100 graphics card for rendering graphics. This desktop can also be configured to support up to 8 external speakers and also supports HD audio. It has an array of the usual ports and connectors that include 6 USB ports and 1 Firewire port. This model runs on Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit). It ships with a HP keyboard and mouse.

Well. Compared to my previous MacBook Pro (2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo - 1 GB of RAM), this is an exceptionally brilliant in terms of design, speed and value. I use it for 2 weeks now, and I can safely and easily say that this notebook is the best tool for students, especially those with a default configuration that I chose. This, I mean, the process is faster, the use of RAM memory is good and the opening of most applications much faster, can help schools / students to edit, write or design what they want comfort. But there is a bad thing that I noticed that through no fault of Apple, the Dead Pixel, the screen still that old annoying problem. Beyond that, this MacBook Pro is highly recommended for both "professionals" and students.
